FORMAT OF THE EVENT

The one-day event will include presentations on the two main participation projects by Futuresonic with the Met Office and Natural History Museum, as well as a presentation on related international work by the Waag from the Netherlands.

The rest of the event will comprise in active discussions in small groups focused on a variety of themes. People will be able to propose discussion themes, and be free to move between discussions in a fluid way.

A number of people have been invited to propose and lead round table discussions in the Open Labs.

You will be able to pitch discussion topics for other Open Lab sessions, and people will be free to join the discussions they find interesting, in breakout spaces and outdoors (if conditions permit).

All groups will be asked to keep notes and to report back at the end of the day on their discussion.

This will lead into the final plenary when people can feed back their key themes of the day.

The unConference format is informal, feel free to contribute and comment. Although the sessions appear to be quite short there is opportunity to carry on the discussions through the break and after. Generally the sessions are run as a conversation and participants are encouraged to pitch in where appropriate.
